Yes folks this is my baby... she is 12 and I know she does look 17... she thinks that she is ugly, so someone please tell this kid that she isn't ugly... This photo and the last photo were taken at the coolest church that we found just in passing on our way to a flower shop in Daytona Beach. This church was built in 1929 and it just was so beautiful and old and well right up my alley. It had these iron gates that opened to a courtyard that these were taken in, the light was so unbelievable, and it doesn't hurt when I have beautiful models like Jessi to compliment that sweet, soft light... I shot these in the early afternoon and I never shoot at that time of day but I found a way to pull it off. I think it worked. (Thanks Tonya for the beautiful hair... greatest hairdresser EVER!)

She is so pretty. I always wanted naturally curly hair. She has the prettiest eyes too. Tell her to stop thinking that she is ugly...she is a beautiful young lady that her momma is going to have to beat the boys off of just to keep them away! :) Also, that second pic is so awesome. The red really brings out her hair and eyes!
Thanks Jennifer... She used to hate her hair she would sit for hours and straighten it, but I think she realizes now just how cool it is to have those curls. I wanted curly hair too, so many perms... oh my goodness. She definitely doesn't get it from me. See ya soon!

You must be so grateful to have such a lovely daughter. I remember the insecurities of being 12, thinking I was ugly, too. Jess truly is a gorgeous young lady. Love those pretty eyes, too. Oh, and uh, she's pretty darn lucky to have a great photographer momma. How cool it will be to show her kids someday these great photos. Okay...I'm kinda getting long with this.

Oh my goodness...Jesse shouldn't ever think she's ugly. She is absolutely beautiful and is prettier every time I see her!! Those pictures are gorgeous and I have to say the first one is my favorite. I love the hair; if only Lola's will stay curly. We really need to get together soon and take some pictures of Miss Lola!! Love you guys
