What I was doing Saturday morning...

Photographing Shanna (a.k.a Shannon's Baby...)

Wow... look at those eyes!

this is the reason to do an early morning session... That light is so clean and crisp. It doesn't hurt if you are a very beautiful, tiny, blond, blue eyed cheerleader. Speaking of eyes... Whoa!!! Don't let her fool you folks, she is incredibly real and an absolute sweetie! She did anything and everything that was asked of her and she had a few goosebumps too, but she never once complained.

oh my goodness...

This an oldie!!! Look at Jack... oh my goodness, he was so wittle... I found this on a CD and I laughed until I almost cried... I love it! This is one of those that you throw out because it is an outtake but then ends up being one of your favorites. This was Summer 2005... Jack was 7 months old...

Kelci- the covergirl

Our niece, Kelci... yes that little baby Kelci is a star, well we already knew that being her family and all but she is now featured on the cover of the current issue of Western Kentucky University Alumni magazine "Spirit". This photo was taken under the "Kissing Bridge" there on the campus... very sweet indeed. I am sure that Kelci's Mom, Tracy is very proud to see her baby in print. I photographed a wedding there under the Bridge several years ago, Aimee and Dan. It was extremely romantic. That is still one of my favorite weddings... speaking of WKU My crazy wonderful husband got his Masters Degree in Business Administration back in December from WKU, very proud moment indeed. Oh, and I also noticed Kaitlyn Embry in the magazine receiving the Sam Dunaway Scholarship... big congratulations!

9-11

we get caught up in the replaying of the towers and the smoke and the debris... for myself, this is a better way to remember.

T.G.I.F.

It's been a long week....whew! Friday video, Amy Lynn, remember this song? We must have heard it a hundred times in a weekend working at MG huh? Oh well, it sounds better now. I have always liked this song and the video is beautiful, I am all about the light and colors...but hey, have you ever tried riding a bike with red high heels on? Trust me, it ain't easy!

plus when it came out I had just become engaged to my husband, Chris, so there are some good memories as well. Everyone have a great weekend. Jessi is doing better, she is on another 7 days of antibiotics but she should be back to her old self fairly soon...

Seniors, Families, and Deadlines... OH MY!

Wow... we are booking up fast for Fall. I still have a few dates open for seniors but it is coming down to the wire now. If you haven't booked your senior photo session give us a call. I am still available for sessions here in Louisville but as for Butler County, they are filling up fast. I will not be accepting any more seniors in Butler County after the 28th of October. I will continue with seniors in the L'ville area until it gets too cold to be outside... Probably Mid November. Also remember that it is a 4 to 6 week process in getting final prints back so if you have already gotten some of your senior proofing or all of your proofing and are considering Christmas presents from your senior portraits they must be turned in no later that Halloween Day- October 31. Any order submitted past that date cannot be guaranteed by Christmas. This also applies to all PORTRAIT sessions taken for this year, not just senior portraits. Also remember that weddings are not included in this as they are a huge job and I cannot take reprint orders on weddings for Christmas Presents. So all you Butler County area seniors get your dates booked, the week of October 19- 28 I will be shooting non-stop or so it seems... Jessi is doing better, still feeling yucky and out of school for the WHOLE week!!! How insane is that? Anyhow, thanks to everyone who sent emails and called. It is such a blessing...

Hilary Duff...

Jessi said to put a NEWER video on her for a change, she loves Hilary Duff and this video is one of her favorites. The visuals are cool too, which is what I like... Oh Kimberly, from Butler County, who emailed me with the sweet words please check your mailbox quota, I can't send my reply... I don't know any other way to reach you... Thank so much for that email, it meant so much to me. And if everyone wouldn't mind sending a prayer out for Jessi, she is having some health issues this weekend... and as usual, everyone have a great weekend!!!! Be safe.
